Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I park?

As you arrive, feel free to park in the upper or lower parking lots. Our deacons will greet you as you enter the breezeway between the Sanctuary and the Melvin Building. If you have questions concerning directions, please ask one of the greeters.

What about my children?

Here at Grove Park, we value our children and are committed to providing a safe space to learn and grow in their faith and within our church family. If you are joining us for worship with children, we encourage you to do what you’re comfortable with. If you prefer, you are more than welcome to keep your children with you in worship. There are worship bags available for children to use during the service. A nursery is provided for infants aged birth to two during worship, and a weekly Children’s Sermon emphasizes the Gospel in an approach geared to children. Sunday School classes for infants through high school are divided by age and are located primarily in our Children and Youth Building.

Do I need to wear anything specific?

Some congregation members dress formally for worship, while others tend towards more casual attire. Please know that you are welcome in our worship, and we are delighted to have you join us, so please do not feel discouraged based on attire.

What will the worship service look like?

We believe the cornerstone of worship is the proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through responsive readings, scripture readings, and songs. During our worship service, you will have an opportunity to join in song or to follow along for scripture readings. Music during our worship time typically includes a blend of contemporary music led by a praise team and traditional hymns accompanied by organ, piano, and choir. Our handbell group and other church choirs participate in special worship services.
